They caught my eye in june, birthday edition.

Just because it was blocus time doesn’t mean that I didn’t look for good things online. In fact, at the end I had a whole week before my last exam and I mostly spent it watching Youtube makeup reviews and tutorials. I fell in love with a certain amount of products, some that I bought as soon as I was done with finals and some that are on this list. This list is a special birthday edition and thus, it will feature some items that I’ve already talked about in precedent editions of this serie. There are some things that I still crave, even after months.

What I bought.

Let me first tell you about the makeup products I already bought. After watching oh so many videos, I decided to purchase the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for 15€ at Di. It has been working very lovely and very differently than the Miracle Complexion sponge. I also acquired Maybelline’s Lash Sensational mascara which has proved to be the best drugstore mascara out there and is probably the best mascara I’ve ever tried. I also bought the Bourjois Rouge édition Velvet in color 10, Don’t pink it of. I came across a girl showing it off on Instagram, went to the store, tried it, loved it and bought it. I just love the smooth texture and the natural finish. A friend of mine bought in color 7 which is absolutely gorgeous too! As we’re talking about lipsticks, I also bought the rose universel lipstick from L’Oréal which adapts to the color of your lips and give them a natural rosy look. I also bought L’Oréal’s Infaillible 24h matte foundation and Maybelline’s Fit Me concealer. Those are great but I need to wear them for a longer time before I can give make a true review. Last but not least, I added a nailpolish to my small collection of nailpolishes. It’s an O.P.I in color Bubble Bath. I discovered that shade last summer on Pinterest but still had two bottles of nudes and therefore waited for them to be empty to make to purchase. The color is amazingly perfect but I do think that O.P.I nailpolishes are too thick and take too much time to dry. Let’s see now the things that I do NOT have but that I would very much like to possess.

What I’m craving.

The makeup.

1. Sigma’s F80 flat kabuki foundation brush, $24. This is a best seller. I discovered it while watching Youtube makeup tutorials about foundation and other stuff. It simply seems to be the best at its job. It happens to be quite expensive, and I’m not even talking about bringing it to Belgium. However, it is a price you have to pays for quality. Maybe one day.

2. 201 pointed crease brush by Real Techniques, $16. We’re lucky Real Techniques products are sold in Belgium, at Di stores but we’re unlucky that the bold metal collection is not sold here. I came across this brush while looking for something else on Real Techniques’ website and it just sounds interesting. I’ve been looking for a crease brush for a while and that’s quite a difficult thing to do. Here is probably my answer.

The clothes.

1. Triangl’s Idiana Ice Milly bikini, 89€. This was already featured in one of my first wishlists and I still haven’t got my mind off it. I was ready to order a few nights ago until a friend told me it would cost me almost a hundred euros in taxes. I just couldn’t take the risk to pay such a big amount of money. Anyway, I’m still looking for a bra-like bikini that fits small breast.

2. This feutre capeline from Urban Outfitters, 40€. I simply fell in love with it when I tried it in the store. I find it very well-cut and very classy looking. Of course, it is not really a summer accessory but it definitely great for the rest of the year. I already imagine myself wearing it in winter instead of a beanie.

3. Hunter wellingtons, 120€. Those have also been featured already. I really fell in love with those as I started to look for fashionable rainboots. They are evidence. However, they do cost quite a lot and therefore remain a dream for now.

4. A t-shirt or a pull-over from the Belgian brand mais qui es-tu, from 40 to 80€. It’s probably the first time I’ve talked about a Belgian brand on here. I was walking through Ixelles when I entered a boutique that sold some of this brand’s products and fell in love with them. I especially loved the “chou de bruxelles” pull-over in blue, which I found very cute. Those t-shirt are handmade which means you can order any size in any color and with any message on it. The seller even told me you can write your own message. I’m seriously considering ordering one saying “basic-ish by Natacha”. How cool would that be? I’m almost done but I need to tell you first that the cut is very beautiful. The neck is not too high, it is spaced enough which is great since I tend to feel oppressed in too high necks. The cut is pretty fit, the sleeves are just fit enough. I can’t wait for all of these to be on sale!

5. This bikini from Asos, 40€. Extrapetite’s blog gave me the idea. She wrote a post about this bikini, saying it could be a great alternative for people who find ordering Triangl’s bikinis too difficult and costful. She herself has a small breast and the bikini looks amazing on her. I find the pattern really pretty and fresh. In comparison to Triangl’s, the price is such a great offer. Unfortunately, I just discovered that it is now out of stock which makes me sad.

they caught my eye in may.

may wishlisy

Hi people! I’m very busy (or more like trying to be) studying for finals. However, I still want to honor my weekly posting. This Wednesday, you get to see products and clothes that caught my eye since the last “they caught my eye” post. At least those of you who can go shopping can be inspired. This edition feels like summer. I had other less summery ideas in mind but as always, not everything you see in the stores is findable online. Maybe next month though. Here is the list and some explanations.

1. Those bikinis from H&M, 10€. You may have seen it on the blog’s Instagram, I have bought this bikini in white for only 10€ and I’m loving it. It’s simple yet classy. It’s such a good deal that I really want to buy it in black which is my go-to color and even this python-like version is tempting me.

2. This bag from Bershka, 29,99€. In my last “they caught my eye” post, I introduced you to the week-end bag by H&M. That one was quite expensive. But with summer and holidays approaching, I feel like buying a beach bag to carry my towel, creams, water, books and magazine. I currently have no cotton bag. And that is a shame. I came across this simple and cute bag, very practical with the lash and the two handles, that also comes in marine colors.

3. Those colorful tattoos from ASOS, 13,70€. It’s been months and months since I started looking for temporary tattoos that I would like to wear on my body. All I can find is the metallic ones and I absolutely do not like them. I wanted to find all black ones. Well, I’m quite difficult, I know. Then I came across this colorful product. They look so poetic and seem to totally embrace the skin. I just want them to come to the beach with me.

4. The concealer wheel by Lise Watier, 32$. I want a concealer palette so much, one with different colors to counter the redness and dark circles. I haven’t been able to find one that made me want to buy it, here in Belgium, though. I came across this one online and the reviews just make me want to buy it.

5. Not your mother’s beach babe texturizing sea salt spray, 8$. I went shopping for some gifts at Urban Outfitters in Brussels, a shop I never go to and I saw this product. I googled it when I came back home and watched several reviews on youtube. Now I just want to try it. I have had flat hair for so long and all I want is some volume. I know one thing: my hair is never as perfect as when I go into the sea. No hair can compete with such natural beauty. It just suits everyone. With summer coming, I want to try it out and make my hair look summer-ish. Normal, right?

This is all. I will now go back to celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday by watching GOT’s last episode with popcorn and some delicious cake. I hope you all have a nice evening and week and study well if this is also finals time for you. Oh and I almost forgot. Thank you thank you thank you for reading the blog. May we meet again for another post x

They caught my eye in april.

This month hasn’t really been a buying month for me, but I did go window shopping a few times. I could not really buy anything but the list of things I wanted kept growing longer. I was mostly looking (and saving) for a bag, as my school bag had broken up for the second time and the old one that was replacing it with was showing weaknesses too. I needed a big bag that could support my 13″ computer. Number one and five are the results of my research. The other items, we’ll, they’re just for pleasure. Anyway, I wanted to share the love.

1. The City Office bag from Zara, 59,95€.
This bag, in pale pink, is so fresh and cute. Exactly what one would need for spring and summer. But what attracted me the most, what the fact that it has a computer compartment that can easily hold a 13″ machine. The other compartment is large enough to carry what I usually bring with me: umbrella, wallet, bottle of water, etc. Plus, it is not too rigid, just as I like.

2. This metal leaves waisbelt for Yoins, 8,27€. Watching Revenge has made me gone crazy over waistbelts but Zuhair Murad’s catwalks have me craving for these rigid metal ones with leaves at the extremities. I’ve been looking more into waistbelts this month and I found this cheap beauty that could totally dress up any plain black dress.

3. This Lilac Twine flower crown from Nastygal, 16,07€. After all this time, I’m still looking for the perfect flower crown. And I think I found it. It’s made of small dark purple lilac, which might not sound summer-like but would match brown hair perfectly, and it goes all around the head. I find It better when flower crown do not hold to the head with an elastic band but are rather rigid. The is litteraly a crown.

4. This week-end bag from H&M, 79,99€. This bag is not for school. It’s for a day at the beach and the reason it is on this list, is because I’ve talked with my boyfriend about buying a unisex beach bag in anticipation of going to the coast together. I love this big white bag with leather details, perfect to carry two towels, a change of clothes and some food.

5. This large leather bag from Burkely, 99,95€. In my quest for a bag, I came across the Burkely brand in a bag shop on the New Street in Brussels. Yes, it’s a men’s bag (I think) and a travel bag. But it is what I need to carry all my things. This one, just like the Zara one, has a special compartment for a computer and a lot of pockets. It’s made of mat leather and comes in a variety of colors from taupe to black. What could go wrong with such a basic bag?

You should know that if everything I saw in the shops was online, this list would be much longer including another bag from Zara (A4 brown satchel) , a printed pencil skirt from there too that only costs 15€ and a kaki kimono blazer from H&M. However, I leave you here with a link to the Facebook page I recently opened for the blog. If it is easier for you to follow me on there, do not hesitate to like the page! (you can also like from the sidebar) I see you soon with another post x

They caught my eye in march.

FEBRUARY

Hello lovely readers ! In order to inspire you a little, I intend to share with you some items and products that caught my eye and that I would (and maybe will) add to my belongings if I had the occasion to. It kind of replaces the monthly wishlist but this is less of a “I want this, could someone buy it for me” than an inspiration for you and for me. You can never really buy everything that catches your eye, and this is important since this blog is about choosing wisely when it comes to beauty, style or lifestyle. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t share the love. Enjoy.

1. Hunters. Earlier this winter, I chose to wear black rainboots from Zara that I fell in love with. A while after, they broke down. And I haven’t found new ones since. I want rainboots and I’ve come across the Hunters online. They’re gorgeous and I want them in black. But there are two disadvantages: they’re a little bit too expensive and they’re not sold in Belgium.

2. Envelope bags. With a strap, if possible. Perfect for a night out, for which taking your whole house isn’t an option. A bag that’s even a little too big can easily ruin a classy look. Do I really need my umbrella when going to the restaurant, my huge wallet when clubbing? No. The ideal: black and matte unlike the one on the picture.

3. Triangl bikinis. Don’t you think that bra-looking bikini tops suit better to little breasts than the triangle-shaped ones? I always found myself way sexier in those, probably because they don’t point how unskinny I am. Unfortunately, bra-looking bikinis are impossible to find here, at least in my size and Triangl is not sold in Belgium. Someday, maybe…

4. Black heeled angle boots. Everyone seems to have a pair of them in Brussels and I just want one too. I love how it can make your look classy in no time. Plus, all I have anymore are runnings. I can’t wait to integrate them into my black head-to-toes. The ideal : a true sole under the ball of the foot to make it look more bold and less womany. These ones cost €60.81 and are from asos.

5. A medium sized black bag with a strap (I really hate bags without straps). I want it to be casual-chic easy to wear, not rigid. I had one but the person who repaired its strap made it way too short. This type of bag I use for every activity that does not require me to take my computer or syllabi. I hate carrying my huge school bag around when I have to stand in a bar but I’d hate not to have an umbrella or other essentials.

6. Old gold leaves headbands. I’ve never been into jewelry, accessories and even less headbands. But then I tried one of those at Claire’s and somehow, it suited me quite well. But the one I tried was plastic and it showed. I feel like such an accessory can totally cute a look up. I don’t like big shiny things and this is definitely simple and discreet. The ideal: it should be old gold and not shiny yellow gold like the one on the picture.

I know it sounds like I break everything I own and that is probably the case. It makes it so that I have to change bags and shoes every once in a while, otherwise I would just stick to the same all the time. And that’s probably because I do that they break so fast. I see you soon for another post x
